Photoshop not recognizing transparency?
I gave a friend some png files that have transparent backings. However, he recently had to install his photoshop over again because of an HD meltdown. Now when he opens up the pngs they all have a white background. Even if he removes the background and saves the file (or saves it as a gif or web file) and closes it, when he opens it again it will still have a white background. Is there anything we're not thinking of? A setting we forgot..? Something? Any ideas would be helpful.
Why are there no great composers of clical music in english speaking countries?
Although there are some good composers in Anglo-sphere, for instance Samuel Barber, George Gershwin or Ralph Vaughan Williams who are on the same level of quality as Hugo Wolf or Darius Milhaud there is no true genius of clical music who could be compared to Mozart, Wagner, Handel, Stravinsky or Chopin. Why?

Is there some type of prayers and entourage that allows for people to move from one plane or spiritual level to another while sleeping? Transporting them from here to there...
Americans...............?
wow, seriously? i thought it was just like instead of theater, theatre, or center, centre, and the whole or--our thing (honor---honour). I didn't know there were that many changes! but please, shut up and get a life! this is how we spell, this is how we learned to spell these words, and it's very sad how you actually have a problem with it.
What does a Slab mean, when its referred when looking at a houses basement?
No, nothing is wrong. A slab is just a single piece of concrete which becomes the floor of the lowest level of the house. Most ranch house are built on a slab poured onto the ground after it is leveled. In many houses built on a slab, you can see the edge of the concrete if you dig down an inch or two. If the slab is recessed into the ground a few feet instead of being on top of the ground, the portion below grade is considered a basement. Generally, they pour concrete walls onto the recessed slab and seal the concrete against moisture to form the foundation for the 1st floor. If the 1st floor is above grade, it is referred to as a split-level. If the 1st floor is at grade with the slab and foundation walls below grade, the basement is considered a "full" basement. The word slab is just the term for the type of construction which consists of a single pouring of concrete onto which the rest of the house is built.
Would Che Guevara make a good U.S. president..?
Che Guevara wouldn't make a good Cuban President. He left to start a revolution in Bolivia because he couldn't hack the daily grind of administrative work in Havana, even though he was practically a national icon there.
