Does anyone else know where that riff came from in Lupe Fiasco's song the show goes on?

I knew about Modest Mouse before hand but never heard the song that was sampled for Lupe's track. I knew the riff was from another track, because that's how the song was introduced to me. I was notified about its origins, but I feel most people are not. I don't think that necessarily affects the quality of the music, it is all about what one creates when given the chance (even if some of the work is done when one approaches the task.)
