In the 1931 film, Frankenstein (the original), does Dr. Frankenstein lock 'the monster' in a room?

at any point in the film? I dont have the movie with me, and im trying to juxtapose Dr. Frankenstein locking Elizabeth in a room (where the monster eventually creeps up on her through a window), to if there was a point, where the monster is locked in a room of the building where Dr. Frankenstein conducted all of his experiments. Im pretty sure he locks the monster into a room after the monster strangles Dr. Frankenstein's lab istant. Im also curious if there are more points where he locks the monster in a room. The more detailed of an answer, the better.
