Just found out that i have lung cancer?

I am so sorry this has to happen to you. Its an extremely hard thing to deal with. I think it would be better for you to sit down your family, and say you have to tell them something which is really important and serious. Although you don't want them to know, they will support you. They love you and care about you. I know you want to get through college, but your health comes first. After treatments, you can always go back to college. Just because you went to college at an older age doesn't mean that you made a bad decision. you had a serious medical problem, which comes first. I'm sure many people have gone through this also. About your friends- you should tell them sooner or later. but when you think its the right time, then sit them down and tell them. I know this is very hard for you. I know you will battle through it :)
