Smackdown VS Raw 2008 Ps3 Help?

can someone please tell me how to go on direct challenge mode, casue i want to unlock legends but you can't do it unless you go on direct chalenge mode. example: if i want to defeat mick foley with undertaker i can't choose undertaker and mick foley in one on one match up in a hell in a cell cause mick foley is locked. so please someone tell me how do you do this. thanks
