What's a good appetizer or side dish to bring to Christmas?

We are going to my uncle's for Christmas this year, and I need an idea of what to bring. Usually he has crackers, cheese and sausage out when we come. Then he has a sausage with ham or something like that for the meat. Sides usually are fresh shrimp and a potato dish. I would like to bring an appetizer or side dish because most of the people bring a dessert or a bottle of wine or something. Any suggestions on something that I could bring? I don't want any Thanksgiving food suggestions since we've all just ate that. Thanks!!!
