How much can I be penalized for cashing out my 401K early.?

I am 25 and only had this for a couple years. I have about $1300 in there from my previous job. I am in desperate need of that money for a car. I have started a new job and my caddy died. Will I get much of anything if I cash it out? How much of the $1300 would i even see? Any istance would be greatly appreciated.
