What would you do in this situation?

A girl sits on a stool below a tank of messy green slime, and she is all dressed up in a beautiful prom dress, heels, and has clearly spent ages on her makeup/hair. Right next to you is the latch that will release the slime, so if you pull it she will be totally drenched in green slime and totally messed up. Would you pull the latch and why?
